Customizing search providers
For faster web searches, QtWeb has a built-in search field. It's in the top-right corner of the QtWeb window, and has a magnifying glass icon. By default you have a choice of four search engines: Google, Yahoo and Cuil. Click the magnifying glass and choose a default search engine from the menu.
To customize search engines:
- Click the magnifying glass at top-right corner of QtWeb window, and choose "Add..." from the menu, or go to Edit > Preferences, click Advanced tab, click Advanced Customization checkbox, and click "Search Providers" button
- You can add a new Search Provider or remove the one being added. Click "Add eBay" or "Add Ask" buttons to see examples of the search string syntax.
- To add a new Search Provider, click "Add New" button. In Search Provider dialog type provider's name to be displayed and search string. Search string should comply with a Search Provider's query syntax. When you search something, content of the search box will be appended to the search query string and resulting query will be sent to the search server.
- To remove the Search Provider, select it in the list and click "Remove" button.
