Please consider supporting Ad Block Plus or Ad Block

This feature has been incorporated into Iron portable and it uses the same engine as Qtweb.

This is the most important feature not present yet.

This feature would make this browser superior to Iron in every single way.

I will switch to Qtweb if you can support the addition of Ad Block.
See this evaluation http://portablefreeware.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=16192

Quote  "Would be cool if it supported adblock. As it is now - barely useful IMO. " this was by m^(2)

I also think you should support the use of installed flashplayer (it uses a default directory) or
if you can't do that try supporting the manual install as an addon (user copies installed files manually after full install into a folder labeled plugins )(see this thread on firefox as an example)( install flash player to firefox http://portablefreeware.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=15402)

I agree with everyone.
This would be a great addition.

Hi all

1. QtWeb has "Block popup windows" option in Edit->Settings -> Privacy tab .. that is turned on by default. Based on WebKit, so the same as in Chrome/Safari.
However if you meant AdBlock Plus third party extension, or custom algorithm to be implemented, it needs to me investigated (placed in TO DO list for the next releases)

2. Flash plugin support for the portable version needs to be investigated as well.

Thanks

I guess we all meant hiding certain parts of websites based on regular expressions, just like Firefox extension does.

I actually agree with you on this one M^2 this would be certainly a nice feature but like the Adblock Plus extention for firefox you should also consider adding the ability to turn it on or off so users can accepted trusted sites and their ads.

It would be great if the configuration file can be the same type as the "pattern.ini" of adblock plus.
An exemple of my "pattern.ini":
  • Code:
    # Adblock Plus preferences
